Flight Delay Compensation: Extraordinary Circumstances as per EU Regulations


Air passengers across the globe along with the airline carriers are struggling with the problem of flight delays, which often result in huge monetary loss both for the passengers and for the airlines. However, to keep on a safer side, airline often tag the cause of delay as an “Extraordinary Circumstance” which can’t be avoided. Though most travelers are well aware of this term, I doubt how many of them are known with the factors that constitutes for an extraordinary circumstance. And here lies the catch for the airlines; flight delays are often caused by the negligence of the airline itself and to avoid paying the flight delay compensation, most airlines put the cause as an extraordinary circumstance.
